Bio:

I was part of USARP in 1968. At that time I was a Sophomore in College and was selected to go to McMurdo with the Team from UC Davis. (Dr. Feeney). My main job was setting up an ice house and collecting fish blood and tissue samples as well as catching some deep water fish. Because I was able bodied and my regular job only took a couple I was part of USARP in 1968. At that time I was a Sophomore in College and was selected to go to McMurdo with the Team from UC Davis. (Dr. Feeney). My main job was setting up an ice house and collecting fish blood and tissue samples as well as catching some deep water fish. Because I was able bodied and my regular job only took a couple days a week, I was sought out by other teams to assist with their projects. Thus, I was able to work with penguins, ice cores, dry valleys, seals and other projects. I was stationed at McMurdo, but also spent some time at Crozier, Hallet, and Scott Base. I am a lifetime member of OAEA.
